Induction Heating

Induction heating is a non-contact technique allowing precise heating through the use of specially designed coils. Since induction heating is a non-contact technique, it provides many advantages over conventional heating methods.

  • Eliminates product contamination
  • Allows precise temperature and timing control
  • Provides rapid uniform heating
  • Produces zero emissions
  • Reduces heating times from minutes or hours to only seconds
  • Remarkably lowers energy costs
  • Dramatically boosts product quality
  • Allows controlled application area
  • Functions in or out of controlled atmosphere

The coil induces a Radio Frequency(RF) electromagnetic field into the product either completely or in areas determined by your needs, creating the necessary heat for your application. The depth of penetration needed for your product determines the proper RF frequency of the power supply; the depth of penetration is inversely proportional to the frequency.

Enercon Power Systems (EPSI) manufactures Induction Heating power supplies which optimize power usage and efficiency. System features include:

  • NEMA 12 JIC Enclosure of 10 Gauge Steel
  • All SCR or IGBT Design
  • Individual Water Path Monitoring Lamps
  • Isolation Input Transformer
  • Personnel Safety Interlocks
  • Water-cooling Manifold & Protection Devices
  • Quiet Operation
  • Grounding Stud

EPSI Power Supplies serve the Induction Heating industry worldwide, as well as applications in Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD, PECVD), Epitaxial Growth (Crystal Growing), Fiber Optic Cable, Plasma Sputtering, and many other high frequency applications.
